Privacy policy
This is a template. Adapt it to your jurisdiction before launch.
What we store
- Account data: email, name and a bcrypt hash of your password.
- Usage: URLs you scan and download from, image counts, sizes and timestamps, used for your history and daily limits.
- Guests: a random cookie id and a one-way hash of the IP address, used only to count the free guest images.
- Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- Site analytics (our own, no third parties): pages viewed, time spent on each page, referring website, approximate location (country / region / city, derived from your IP address on our own server; the IP itself is stored only as a one-way hash), device type, browser, operating system, language and screen size. Kept for up to 180 days and used only to understand and improve PixelPull.
What we don't do
We don't sell data, run ad trackers (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel), or keep copies of the images you download. Besides our own statistics we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies, collects no personal data and doesn't track you across websites. They are streamed straight to you.
Cookies
One session cookie when you're logged in and one guest-id cookie. Both are strictly necessary.
